A Sense of Direction

For many years now, whenever I visit my Mother in San Jose, we have a ritual where we get lost for about half an hour.  I only get to visit her maybe 1-2 times a year and each time she claims she had no problem getting to the airport, it was just getting home that she forgets.  You would think that I would sit down and learn San Jose but the trips are so few and far between I never really bothered.  Instead I figured it is her town she will get it eventually.  Each time I’m wrong.  Maybe next year I’ll be prepared.  The best part of the tradition is we always stop at a new resturaunt and have a nice dinner before we actually get to her house.  I think I’ll get her a GPS system this year.  Maybe I’ll get one for myself too because I seem to have inherited some of her bad sense of direction.  ^_^
