It’s been a while since my last real post so I have a lot of catching up to do.  First of all let me apologize for the late post.  Thank you everyone who was curious enough to inquire about my absence.  It’s been a pretty rough month on the job front.  I recently started working at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and let me tell you its a full time job.  Most days are 12-14 hours long and every moment of it is stressful…..at least for me.  It’s nerve racking having to work with neonates who are very often less than 3kg.  To give you an idea about how big that is; you could cup your hands together and very easily have a neonate fit in your palms.  It’s incredibly sad to see the types of congenital abnormalities and diseases these kids have.  They assure me that it gets less ‘intense’ once you get accustomed to it, but I have my doubts.  Anyhow it’s a very good experience overall and I’m learning a lot.

I’ve noticed a lot of the nurses at the Children’s Hospital are pregnant.  They tell me it the environment.  Having so many babies around makes them more inclined to have their own.  Weirdly enough I can see that.

Right now I’m writing this from Chicago O’Hare airport.  I have a long layover before I return to California to visit my family.  I have to say this is a much needed break from work.  I don’t even mind the 6 hr layover here in Chicago.    Anyway I’ll try to keep the updates comming as things happen.
